The ADVAN Neova AD08 is Yokohama’s Extreme Performance Summer tyre developed for the drivers of sports cars, sports coupes and performance sedans that have a passion for sport driving. The ADVAN Neova AD08 is designed to provide high levels of traction, responsive handling and driving control on dry and wet roads. The tyre’s internal structure includes two wide steel belts reinforced by spirally wound nylon to provide strength and high-speed capability while the sidewalls are reinforced with steel cord inserts to resist lateral deflection and enhance control and cornering stability. Yokohama’s care instructions specify that due to its compound characteristics, ADVAN Neova tyres must be used and stored at temperatures above -10 degrees Celsius (14 degrees Fahrenheit) to maintain its performance and avoid tyre damage. Designed with specially placed steel sidewall inserts that help to resist lateral deflection while providing superior handling control and enhanced cornering. Features an optimised contact patch with a low void to tread ratio, which keeps more rubber-to-road contact for maximum performance. Rapid reflex twin ribs on the tyre add stability and lightning-fast steering response during high-speed driving, while the outer rib walls are rounded to reduce uneven treadwear. Features extra-wide unibloc shoulder blocks with ‘HydroARC’ channels, which provides constant rubber-to-road contact for improved lateral stability during high-speed cornering. The unique shaped ‘HydroARC’ channels effectively cut through water to deliver supreme grip in wet conditions. Also designed with ‘Groove-In-Groove’ technology which are tiny slits in the groove walls of the tyre that help to effectively distribute stress loads to minimise uneven tread wear.
